OverviewOversees daily operations and workflow for the CT Lung Screening Program. Navigates patients through the low dose CT program. Collaborates with the referring physician/practice, central scheduling, insurance verification and radiology to ensure all guidelines are met for appropriate patient care, follow-up and billing. Manages all aspects of the CT Lung database including data entry, statistical reporting, monthly uploads to national database and enhancements.
What you will do- Communicates with referring providers regarding patient appropriateness for program and ensures proper order is in place.
- Ensures that data exported from lung cancer screening registry is uploaded to the ACR NRDR national lung cancer screening registry.
- Supports all efforts related to navigating patients through the LDCT screening process. Uses database and EMR to ensure appropriate recommended follow up appointments are scheduled and kept.
- Is responsible for database management including data input, problem solving and statistical reporting. Performs quality assessment checks, audits and reviews. Prepares reports as requested.
- Provides education to clinical and non-clinical staff about the low dose lung screening program offered by Riverside Health System. Contributes to community outreach efforts by marketing the lung screening program. Supports smoking cessation initiatives.
- Generates data analysis for reporting to the lung committee, ACR and lung nodule clinic.
- Maintains compliance for Center of Excellence through the GO2 Lung Foundation and ACR.
- Tracks the outcomes of the LDCT program including cancer diagnoses and incidental findings.
QualificationsEducation- Bachelors Degree, Science or related field (Required) or
- Program Graduate, AMA approved radiologic technology program (Required)
Experience- 1 year Diagnostic Imaging/Healthcare/Oncology/Pulmonary Medicine (Required)
