LEGAL COUNSEL, LAND & INTERNATIONAL RAIL / INFRASTRUCTURE, TECHNOLOGY & CYBERSECURITY[What you will be working on]
Legal Counsel (Land and International Rail)
Job Description
As legal counsel in the Legal, Land and International Rail Division, you will be involved in legal work that directly shapes how Singapore builds and connects — from resolving compensation claims arising from major construction projects to supporting landmark cross-border rail initiatives.
The Division provides legal support and advice to the Land Transport Authority of Singapore across three key areas: land, compensation claims and international rail projects. As a member of the Division, you will work closely with LTA’s policy and operations divisions to provide legal advice on a wide range of matters involving statutory interpretation, claims (statutory, contractual and common law) involving personal injury or property damage, and cross-border rail matters - which includes the crafting of agreements, advising on regulatory matters and contributing to legislation underpinning international rail projects.
You will be required to research, prepare and render opinions, draft and review contracts and other legal documents, contribute to the publication of gazette notices and subsidiary legislation and advise on regulatory matters and the shaping of agreements and legislation.
The ideal candidate is one with experience in public law, land law, or infrastructure-related work. Familiarity with Singapore's land transport legislative framework is an advantage.
Legal Counsel (Infrastructure, Technology & Cybersecurity)
Job Description
As legal counsel in the Infrastructure, Technology & Cybersecurity Division, you will be involved in legal work that sits at the intersection of large-scale infrastructure development and Singapore’s rapidly evolving digital and cybersecurity landscape.
The Division provides legal support and advice to the Land Transport Authority of Singapore across two key areas: infrastructure and construction, and technology and cybersecurity.
As a member of the Division, you will work closely with LTA’s Contracts and Project Teams to provide legal advice on a wide range of matters. On the infrastructure and construction side, this includes both contentious and non-contentious work spanning the full life cycle of infrastructure contracts, from procurement and contract drafting to disputes involving project delays, cost variations, and liability for defects. On the technology and cybersecurity side, you will advise on technology contracts for intelligent transport systems and other technology-enabled land transport systems, as well as on compliance with Singapore’s cybersecurity regulatory framework.
You will be required to research, prepare and render opinions, draft and review contracts and other legal documents, and advise on regulatory and compliance matters across both areas of the Division’s work.
The ideal candidate is one with experience in construction law and / or the law relating to technology and cybersecurity.
