Job Specifics: Low Code Engineer (OutSystems) NCSS Project

Job Purpose / Job Summary:

You will be part of a high-performing and multi-disciplinary digital solutions division in NCSS that develops and maintains digital applications that impact policy and operations in Singapore's social service sector. NCSS has multiple operational systems and is currently expanding its digital platform capabilities where applications will be developed and integrated to support strategic business operations and service delivery.

The Low Code Engineer will perform a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust low-code applications and systems across NCSS digital products. You will work on the development of scalable applications and integrations that ensure efficient, secure, and user-friendly digital solutions are available for business operations, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

• Assist in designing and developing web and mobile applications using the OutSystems platform to support various NCSS business processes and service delivery requirements
• Work closely with product teams, business analysts, and stakeholders across NCSS to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable solutions
• Design, develop and deploy user interfaces, workflows and integrations for business operations and service delivery purposes
• Support the building of application integrations that connect multiple NCSS platforms and external systems
• Help maintain application architecture and infrastructure to support operational, reporting, and analytical workloads across the NCSS ecosystem
• Implement application testing, validation, and optimisation processes to ensure application quality and performance
• Monitor applications and systems to identify potential issues and performance bottlenecks
• Support the maintenance of OutSystems applications supporting NCSS digital products
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues
• Create and maintain documentation of application development processes and system configurations

 

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience

• Relevant education qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields
• 3–5 years of experience in OutSystems solution delivery
• Experience delivering applications in public sector projects preferred
• OutSystems related certifications preferred

Skills

• Understanding of application architecture and design patterns within OutSystems • Proficiency in OutSystems development including web services integration and API development concepts and processes
• Knowledge of database systems, both relational and non-relational, and their query languages
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB
• Understanding application security, access controls, and logging
• Exposure to version control systems such as Git and CI/CD practices
