A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Logistics Specialist at MKS, you will be collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution. In this role, you will report to the Logistics Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Reporting: Generating regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery, inventory levels, transportation costs, and supplier performance.
- Process Improvement: Assisting in identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement within logistics processes and procedures, and participating in initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce costs.
- Inventory Management: Supporting inventory control efforts by monitoring inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and assisting with inventory planning and forecasting.
- Vendor Management: Assisting with the evaluation and selection of logistics vendors, as well as maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and service providers.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensuring that all logistics-related documentation, such as shipping records, customs documentation, and compliance certificates, is accurate and up-to-date.
- Systems and Tools: Utilizing logistics software and tools to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze data, and assisting with system implementation or upgrades as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, operations, and customer service, to coordinate logistics activities and address supply chain issues.
- Training and Development: Participating in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in logistics and supply chain management.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of related experience
