Job Description
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where you'll contribute to managing logistics operations for clinical trials, pharmaceutical products, and scientific equipment. As a Logistics Specialist I, you'll coordinate shipments, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain supply chain operations. You'll handle order processing, documentation, inventory management, and work with internal teams and external partners to deliver excellent service. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field, may be negotiable if you have experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations
- Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel is required
- Fluent English skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong customer service orientation
DESIRABLE:
- Professional certifications in logistics, trade compliance, or dangerous goods handling are advantageous
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, and international trade regulations
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QAD)
- Experience with GMP, GDP, and clinical trial regulations preferred
- Experience with quality management systems and SOPs
- Knowledge of temperature-controlled shipping requirements and cold chain
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Demonstrated analytical and process improvement capabilities
