About you and this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Service Coordinator - Road in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.
In this role, you proactively support day‑to‑day logistics operations by coordinating transport, anticipating potential issues, and resolving challenges before they escalate. You take ownership of exceptions and continuously look for smart, practical solutions to keep deliveries on track.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on customer requirements to ensure on-time delivery and lowest cost-to-service product transportation to the final destination.
- Monitors Logistics Service Providers on performance.
- Ensures timely processing the administrative flow of the inbound and outbound process.
- Responsible for solving transactional failures.
- Close collaboration with Logistics Service Providers, taking appropriate action in case of non-compliances and supporting logistics Quality Measure resolution.
- Verifies if logistics capacity versus demands can be matched (including special requests).
- Responsible for accuracy of logistics data and accurate logistics charges.
- Manages non-standard orders, changes and exceptions requiring different transport arrangements.
- Checks, approves and books (additional) logistics costs in system timely.
Qualifications
- Minimum MBO4 – Vocational degree
- Experience in Logistics is an advantage
- The critical competencies required for success are: understanding customer needs, teamwork and collaboration, taking initiative, time management, attention to details and multiple tasks, interpersonal effectiveness, communication, technical proficiency in use of computer applications. Excel knowledge, ECC (SAP) navigation.

- Communication - Clearly and proactively communication with logistics service providers and internal stakeholders to coordinate logistics activities, provide shipment updates, manage exceptions, and support a high‑quality customer experience.
- Supply Chain & Logistics Operations - Supports daily logistics execution by coordinating transport, monitoring shipments, and resolving operational challenges to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective delivery.
- Proactive Problem Solving - Anticipates and resolves logistics issues early, taking ownership and be solution driven to keep deliveries on track.
- Detail-Oriented - Demonstrates strong attention to detail when managing logistics data. Ensures accurate logistics data, documentation, and system entries to support reliable and compliant shipment execution.
- Prioritization - Prioritizes shipments and tasks based on urgency, business requirements, and customer impact to ensure smooth and timely logistics execution.
