Job Summary
This role is responsible for the procuring of Logistics services to support the EMEA Logistics Operations. These Logistics services entail Warehousing and Surface Transportation as well as Brokerage services.
In this role the person will negotiate and maintain contracts and rates with Logistics Service Providers, explore new opportunities for process improvements to drive cost savings. Internally the person will be also the liaison with our Logistics Finance department to ensure budget alignment & financial planning.
The role will operate in a complex business environment and requires active engagement with key stakeholders as well as cross-functional interaction within the Enterprise Operations.
Responsibilities
• Setup and/or drive contract negotiations and maintenance to ensure Operational Excellence and Compliance
• Negotiate best-in-class Rates, Terms & Conditions with Logistics Service Providers using benchmarks and Industry know-how.
• Liaises with stakeholder managers to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement plan.
• Analyze volume and cost data to manage cost and produce financial modeling for budget reviews with Finance and or Operations Management
• Leads specific strategic procurement projects (e.g. RFQ's) and participates as a member on a cross-functional team in network assessments.
• Initiates and champions best practices of procurement strategy throughout the supply chain, actively looks ahead and shares best practices, and collaborate with management to implement them within the organization.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Minimum bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3-4 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field or an advanced degree with adequate work experience.
