The Role:
The expectation from this role is to master the communication process between Purchasing and Logistics and other impacted cross functional areas to keep a good balance of total enterprise cost at a vehicle level. The position will be responsible for the Logistics Program Management activities related to Future Vehicle Programs in US, Canada, and Mexico.

Cost per unit Management – Collecting, tracking and optimizing costs from Inbound Logistics (including Propulsion and LOC costs), Customs and Duties, and Finished Vehicle Distribution.
Pipeline planning based on GVDP – Expectation is to lead logistics project management activities:
Map out deliverables timing based on program team due dates
Collect cost estimations to align with each gate or milestone based on GVDP
Build a comprehensive plan to reduce logistics cost - Gap to Target with Inbound and Outbound teams
Logistics Liaison, Single point of ownership for all logistics assumptions
Participate, support and influence the decision-making process of part sourcing at early gates with direct purchasing, engineering, and program teams.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
Host kickoff meeting to align several functions on program deliverable timing and assign tasks to support deadlines (PPM, VSSM, Vehicle Architecture, and others)
Support capital spend studies (i.e.) container in-transit studies and ad-hoc analysis
Communication and pro-active management of logistics cost reduction opportunities with the Program Team and Logistics Stakeholders
Hand-Off coordination to the Logistics Stakeholders to execute logistics plan
Execution of logistics cost estimation and approval process requirements within GVDP
Defend the Program/ Logistics Medium-Term Plan Budget for each program at every gate
Build sounded Business Cases where an end to end approach is evaluated - Optimal Logistic Cost VS Other trade offs
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, finance, manufacturing, logistics or product development
Strong experience in data analytics
Organized individual that can manage multiple information flows at the same time
Problem solving and critical thinking focused
Ability to deal in ambiguous environments
Good communication skills (verbal and written) to ensure stakeholder understanding.
Strong technical skills that help streamline internal processes in cost estimation
Self-driven and motivated individual, high energy to proactively communicate
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in supply chain projects, considering EBIT, and ROI
Experience in Logistics and Supply Chains methods and knowledge of various logistics modes
Robust experience in complex program management and logistics strategy / planning
Finance/Engineering/Logistics Certifications
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree a plus
