Job Summary: You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (WIL) in the Work Integration Branch (C301.22), Operations Department (C300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with In-depth knowledge of skilled trades operations, processes and shop work associated with the shipbuilding/repair industry; Experience in a variety of support shop operations and practices, sufficient to provide interface recommendations for dealing with cranes and other services for non-shipyard activities; Experience and knowledge in ship repair project planning, integration, scheduling and execution strategy; Experience in the sequencing and timing of key program events and milestones; Experience in naval shipyard operations, production and management techniques and concepts, and the location, capacity, capability, and availability of facilities and services of the naval shipyard industrial complex; Experience and working knowledge of AIM processes and a thorough understanding of each AIM module, Project Management Plan (PMP), contract Administration & Financial Control (CAF), Job Planning (JPL), Work Packaging and Control (WPC), and Execution Control (EXC); Experience with multi-user/multi-project computer systems, an understanding of precedence relationships and links with related project networks; Experience understanding Navy, major command, and other levels of maintenance engineering program requirements pertinent to the development of scheduling maintenance requirements.
