Salary Range: $40736 - $97087 Per Year

The primary purpose of this position is: To test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems and cyberspace capabilities, provide quality installation and mission support and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities. This position will also be responsible to manage the War Reserve Material (WRM) program.

Major Duties:

  • Formulates long-range, emergency, and contingency logistics and mission plans. Collects, compiles, and evaluates logistical requirements for use by the AAC. Performs duties as logistics planner in the Deployment Control Center (DCC)/Eglin Readiness Center (ERC). Provides technical guidance on logistics matters to other units both within and outside the squadron. Conducts war and emergency planning and monitors related training, tests, and exercises. Develops, coordinates, controls, and monitors Base Support Plan Part I and 2 and the Base Deployment Plan Part 1 through 4. Serves as AAC War Readiness Material (WRM) Manager.

Qualifications: Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Logistics Management Series SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes serving as logistical support for contingency exercises and deployment planning. This position will also be responsible to manage the War Reserve Material (WRM) program. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. IDEAL CANDIDATE: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or business. Ability to analyze logistics data, identify inefficiencies and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge and skill in the application of DoD, Joint and AF logistics planning principles, concepts, and directives as they pertain to deployment operations, war reserve materiel, base reception, and support agreements. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 5. Knowledge and skill to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, devise solutions to problems and identify changes and trends. 6. Knowledge of organizational structure and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
