Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2058000 and is part of the KS 130th Field Artillery Brigade, National Guard.

Major Duties:

  • As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-11, you will function as the logistics manager of the organization and is responsible for oversight of property accountability functions. May serve as the organizational Property Book Officer responsible for routine accomplishment and oversight of property accountability functions in subordinate organizations. Supervisory duties are performed less than 25 percent of the work year. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Military Grades: O-3 through O-4 Compatible Military Assignments: Immaterial GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items is required. No special physical demands are required. Work Environment: Work generally is in an area that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated as typically found in an office environment.
