Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1177000 and is part of the WY Army Aviation Support Facility, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Major Duties:

  • This position is in the Wyoming Army National Guard's (ARNG) Army Aviation Support Facility and its purpose is to function as the logistics manager of the organization responsible for accomplishment and oversight of logistics plans, activities, and actions. (1) Develops, implements and evaluates the logistic procedures for the organization. (2) Ensures compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other-directed command inspection programs. (3) Provides guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistic funds. (4) May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. (5) Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization utilizing Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard. Area 4: All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard. If referrals are not made from the above target categories, subsequent referrals may next be made from below. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves or other states' Army National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MILITARY GRADE Min: E4 / W01 Max: E7 / W03 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves performing or supervising staff work in planning and coordinating logistical support activities to provide the money, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support a specified mission at the time and place they are needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. MOS: 92A (Quartermaster General), 92Y (Unit Supply Specialist), 15-series Aviation, 151 (Aviation Maintenance Technician), or 153 (Rotary Wing Aviator) Per 10 USC 10216(b)(1)(C): Those organizations with the primary mission of providing direct support surface and aviation maintenance for the reserve components of the Army and Air Force, to the extent that the military technicians (dual status) in such units would mobilize and deploy in a skill that is compatible with their civilian position skill. (e.g., aircraft mechanics must be compatible) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience and familiarity using the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army)-specifically the Supply Support Activity (SSA) and Maintenance modules-to manage and process technical supply, such as aviation repair parts.
