VAI is currently seeking to hire a Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will assist in supporting a diverse set of operational needs within our organization. If you are looking to provide world-class support to world-class research and education, we would love to hear from you.

Your Key Responsibilities in this role will include the following:

· Inspecting, receiving, documenting, and distributing all inbound materials according to institutional standards.

· Shipping materials to collaborators and suppliers on behalf of labs and departments.

· Actively monitoring shipment status and keep key stakeholders informed in real-time.

· Forecasting potential shipment issues and triaging shipments experiencing delays.

· Abiding by transportation regulations pertaining to importing, exporting, and shipping dangerous goods.

Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator must be willing to adapt well to changing priorities. Daily operational support to other departments may also be required:

· Receiving, labeling, and storing stocked products according to manufacturer specifications and departmental procedures.

· Conducting physical inventories, replenish stock levels, issue transfers, and fill end user orders.

· Collecting, processing, and distributing glassware and other supplies to research areas.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

The skills you will be required to have in this role:

· Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred with 2+ years of customer-facing experience in shipping/receiving, healthcare, or related industries.

· Customer service experience

· Critical thinking skills

· Curiosity/desire to learn

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Willingness to adapt to changing priorities

· Experience working with various computer software and systems

· Ability to lift, reach, carry, and transport packages and supplies.

The skills we are willing to train you on:

· Utilizing our inbound tracking software (SCLogic), ERP system (Workday).

· Shipping lab materials according to applicable transportation regulations.
