Our next Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the inbound flow of goods from suppliers to our distribution centers. This role involves coordinating with logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, analyzing logistics data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Logistics Analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective logistics operations
Key Responsabilities:
- Inbound/Outbound Flow Management: Coordinate the physical inbound flow of goods, including exception management, re-routing, and expediting, to meet "on time and in full" delivery targets.
- Cost Efficiency and Compliance: Ensure timely, cost-efficient, and compliant coordination of inbound product flow from various origins to distribution centers.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with logistics service providers (3PLs - Air, Ocean, Road), brokers, planning, and sourcing teams to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective product, documentation, and data flow into the region.
- KPI Development and Analysis: Develop, analyze, and publish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports to support the Inbound Logistics/outbound function.
- Performance Management: Lead business analyses to drive process improvements and manage the operational and tactical performance of logistics service providers, ensuring any performance issues are addressed promptly.
- Project Leadership: Lead or support logistics projects, including RFP processes, analyses, requirements gathering, evaluation, and implementation.
- Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance "Deliver on time and in full," cost efficiency, and overall process improvement.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear and timely communication with internal stakeholders and leadership regarding inbound logistics performance and initiatives.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with logistics service providers and internal teams.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure accurate, timely, and complete data in visibility tools and systems of record, resolving any issues in collaboration with Logistics Service Providers and IT.
- Invoice Support: Assist with invoice queries from outsourced partners to ensure timely payment of logistics service providers.
- Continuous Improvement: Initiate, propose, and implement continuous process improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience on supply chain or Logistics field , 3PL process on a similar position/experience
- Knowledge of principles and methods for international cargo by air or sea, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Experience managing projects related to International Trade.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with logistics service providers and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in logistics.
- Knowledge of Mexican Import/export requirements
