The Logistics Administrator II is an on-site member of the OnHand Unassigned Set Inventory team, supporting the efficient flow and accuracy of inventory across operations. This position is responsible for ensuring inventory integrity through precise tracking, documentation, and coordination of materials related to mass complex orders and projects. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a structured environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and consistently upholds Smith+Nephew’s quality and compliance standards.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will support the OnHand Unassigned Set Inventory team by managing logistics activities that ensure accurate inventory control, seamless material flow, and compliance with Smith+Nephew’s operational standards. You will play a key role in coordinating large-scale and complex orders while maintaining data integrity and supporting continuous process improvement.
Maintain accurate inventory records and data integrity through systemic updates, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits.
Reconcile and report discrepancies, including short shipments, overages, and incomplete deliveries, in accordance with company procedures.
Coordinate inbound, put-away, and outbound processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant material handling.
Plan, schedule, and execute shipments and documentation for large-scale and complex orders, including project-specific requirements and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with the Logistics Manager and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, optimize stock levels, and support ongoing project demands.
Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operational efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness within logistics workflows.
Ensure adherence to Smith+Nephew Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining compliance and a high standard of operational performance.
What will you need to be successful?
To excel in this role, you’ll need to be highly detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced logistics environment. You’ll thrive on problem-solving, balancing multiple priorities, and collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities to ensure smooth operational excellence and compliance.
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred
1+ years of experience in medical device, logistics, or inventory control environments
Proficiency in SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and tracking, Word for documentation, and Outlook for communication.
Strong data entry and record management skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Working knowledge of inventory management principles, including stock levels, reorder points, and cycle counting.
Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation such as packing lists.
Ability to generate accurate reports, maintain records, and ensure documentation compliance.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs and pushing/pulling materials as needed.
