Logistics Admin - Inventory Control

Job Description

As a Logistics Admin within the Logistics Department, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with receiving to coordinate material movement throughout the site.

  • Leading the Annual Inventory Counting Program.

  • Perform Daily Inventory Accuracy Activities ensuring data integrity.

  • Maintaining the Issue Tracking Log and performing Root Cause Analysis.

  • Operating equipment to package and move materials and products.

  • Picking inventory from its designated bin location quickly and accurately in support of distribution center demands (Stock Transfer Orders).

  • Monitoring and verifying quality of materials and documents.

  • Counting inventory of material locations as required.

  • Initiating Cycle Counts and working with operators to close the counts timely.

  • Ensuring bin accuracy and compliance within the adjustment limits.

  • Meeting the annual bin accuracy goals.

  • Working with New Product Introduction, engineers and manufacturing teams to optimize storage space for new parts.

  • Ensuring Manufacturing Alerts, Engineer Change Orders and Quarantine instructions are acted on as soon as possible.

  • Communicating with material coordinators and production line operators regarding part shortages and inventory needs.

  • Providing superior customer service to the business by resolving and responding to internal and external customer requests quickly.

  • Contributing to the site’s continuous improvement culture by developing and implementing ideas for quality, efficiency and cost savings.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of work area.

  • Prioritizing assignments based on urgency and relevancy to business objectives.

  • Supporting team members in achieving objectives and goals through effective teamwork. 

  • Working to and meeting all designated cut-off times.  

  • Completing assignments in a timely manner.

  • Following all documented procedures, safety, and environmental guidelines.

  • Performs daily housekeeping duties.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing back-up support to other employees as needed, including non-Admin support.

  • Maintaining flexibility and receptiveness to change in daily routine. 

  • Cross training for other roles.

  • Attending in and actively participating in department meetings.

  • Meeting training requirements before deadlines and maintaining training certifications.

  • Adhering to Agilent values and implementing those values in job role.

  • May require specialized training/certification.

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

100% ONSITE

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ inventory admin experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a time-sensitive environment.

  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to give/receive oral and written information clearly.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand written procedures and instructions.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, ratios, weights & measures).

  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and make timely decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and spot inaccuracies.

  • Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work well with others in a team environment to create and accomplish a common goal.

  • Superior time management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively multitask when required.

  • Flexibility: ability to adjust rapidly and effectively to change and remain open to change in job assignments.

  • Responsibility/ownership: demonstrated willingness to take responsibility for resolving problems.

  • Experienced and proficient in working with Microsoft 365 & Office: Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, searching through folders, emailing, creating documents.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • Required to bend, stoop, and reach large parts.

  • Required to remain standing for extended periods of time.

  • No known allergies to industrial chemicals used in the work area.

  • Time spent during workday: 50% stooping, standing, bending, walking, reaching to retrieve or deliver parts typically under but not limited to 50 lbs. 50% processing transactions and paperwork at a PC.

Prefer:

  • SAP experience – Preferably experience with inventory-based transactions in WM Module.

  • Microsoft Office Skills - Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $20.77 - $32.45/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
