Role summary
As the Local Regulatory Advice & Reporting Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality reporting, and strong financial controls across the Manila branch. Working closely with the Finance Controller, CFO, and key stakeholders, you will translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions that support the bank’s strategy and growth.
About the team
You will be part of the Finance function within Wholesale Banking Philippines, acting as a trusted advisor to senior management and a key contact for local regulators. The team values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on integrity, risk awareness, and process excellence.
What you’ll do
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of local regulatory reports in line with BSP, PDIC, SEC requirements and ING standards.
- Advise management on regulatory compliance, reporting changes, and their impact on the business.
- Provide analytical review, interpretation, and substantiation of regulatory and statutory reports.
- Support audited financial statements, ICAAP submissions, and regulatory examinations.
- Conduct impact analysis of new or changing regulations and assess implications on prudential ratios.
- Design, maintain, and enhance internal control frameworks over financial and regulatory reporting.
- Lead and support projects such as system implementations and reporting automation initiatives.
- Act as a strategic business partner, coordinating with internal teams, regulators, and peer banks.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in banking or audit, with strong financial reporting expertise and exposure to regulatory reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local regulatory requirements (BSP, PDIC, SEC, BIR).
- Experience leading teams, initiatives, or complex regulatory projects.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- High level of risk and control awareness, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and adapt to change in an agile environment.
