The LMS Administrator oversees the configuration, administration, optimization, and governance of Cloudera’s Learning Management System. This role ensures the platform functions as a scalable, dependable, and insight-driven solution that supports onboarding, enablement, and ongoing learning programs.

As the central point of contact for LMS operations, you will manage troubleshooting, reporting, and system integrity—ensuring employees have a streamlined, reliable experience when accessing their training and development resources.

As an LMS Administrator, you will:

  • System Management 

  • Lead the configuration, maintenance, user provisioning, permissions, and updates of the LMS platform (e.g., Highspot, Seismic).

  • Content  and Learning Deployment 

  • Upload, test, and manage various output formats ensuring they play correctly across different browsers and devices. 

  • Troubleshoot course functionality and learner experience issues.

  • User Support 

  • Act as the Tier 1 helpdesk for users facing technical issues (access problems, course completion errors, etc.).

  • Train content owners and stakeholders on LMS capabilities and processes.

  • Develop user and contributor  demos, FAQs, and training resources.

  • Data and Reporting 

  • Create and automate recurring reports on training completion rates, status, and learner engagement for leadership.

  • Provide enablement leaders with actionable insights on learner performance and programs effectiveness.

  • Integrations 

  • Work with IT to ensure the LMS syncs correctly with the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other third-party tools.

  • Governance and Optimization

  • Audit the system regularly to ensure data integrity and remove outdated content.

  • Stay current on LMS trends, features, and industry best practices

  • Technical Development & Automation API Management & Integration:

  • Experience leveraging RESTful APIs to automate LMS workflows, sync data between platforms, and create custom integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Salesforce, Slack,
    or BI tools).

  • Workflow Automation: Ability to design and implement automated processes for user lifecycle management, content tagging, and triggered notifications to reduce manual administration.

  • Custom Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell) to handle bulk data transformations, system audits, and advanced reporting.

  • Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and learning technology standards.

  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a friendly, helpful manner.

  • Experience with LMS reporting tools and data analysis.
