Role/Department

As one of the world’s largest Cash managers, Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) is responsible for managing Liquidity strategies across a range of currencies, managing portfolios for corporations, banks, insurance companies and pension funds. For over 40 years Northern Trust Asset Management has helped investors preserve capital, achieve yield, maintain liquidity and manage risk. In EMEA we offer a broad range of capabilities from AAA rated, Short-Term Money Market Funds to customised Cash Segmentation portfolio’s, uniquely tailored to investor cash flow requirements.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Liquidity Solutions Sales Person to join our team based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling liquidity management products and services to corporate clients, financial institutions, and other institutional organisations. This role requires a thorough understanding of treasury, cash management, and financial markets, as well as a proven track record in consultative sales.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Identify and acquire new business opportunities for Liquidity Solutions across target markets
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their unique liquidity needs.
  • Build and manage an active pipeline of opportunities in order to achieve new business targets for the region
  • Work closely with Relationship Management and Account Management teams to support the onboarding process and ensure the clients servicing expectations are exceeded at all times
  • Work closely with Portfolio Management to develop an extensive knowledge of the Investment strategy and market dynamics
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes affecting liquidity management.
  • Attend industry events as part of the EMEA Liquidity team to network and build the Northern Trust Asset Management brand in the Liquidity industry
  • Analyse Client types, industry and market drive themes to identify client acquisition opportunities
  • Be a contributing member of a team that thrives on partnership, innovation, and execution; i.e. a team player

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience distributing Liquidity and Short‑Term Fixed Income strategies, or closely related investment products
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow a book of business through active prospecting and networking with Treasury decision‑makers
  • Experience selling to Financial Institutions, including Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, and Private Equity firms, preferred
  • Strong understanding of institutional asset management products and liquidity solutions
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as IMC, CFA, or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively articulate and position Northern Trust Asset Management products and services
  • Willingness and ability to travel on a consistent basis
  • Fluency in English
