Summary

Reporting to the Department Director and under the direct supervision of the Linen Supervisor, performs duties associated with the collection, processing, distribution and inventory of linens and all other items that require laundering.

Education

High school or equivalent (GED).

Certification, Registration & Licensure

None required.

Experience

Ability to use good customer service skills. Will consider combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Stocks and delivers laundry.

  • Restocks supply areas.

  • Completes all required job specific competencies.

  • Uses CARES (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm and Service) behaviors and proper

    customer service.

  • Processes daily laundering of soiled items such as cleaning cloths, mops, cubicle curtains etc...

  • Properly follows Department and Hospital Safety Guidelines for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    usage including wearing gloves, goggles and isolation gowns when necessary.

  • Handles disposal of waste.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
