Job Description​

Saint Luke's East is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Specialty Unit. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the hospital setting while working alongside a supportive, interdisciplinary care team.

About this Unit:

Our Medical Specialty Unit cares for a diverse patient population and provides a fast-paced, engaging environment ideal for LPNs interested in expanding their clinical knowledge and skill set.

In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience:

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Licensed Practical Nurse - Various
