About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Lending Training Specialist, who will train new employees and continue to develop current employees on an as needed basis. They will work with the Director of Lending Education to create and implement curriculum for new Lending and Mortgage employees and help to enhance the overall development of Lending staff in various roles as necessary. The Training Specialist will ensure quality in all areas aligning with training for Lending and Mortgage staff and will serve as a subject matter expert.
What you’ll do:
Contributes to the design, delivery and continuous improvement of the Mortgage New Hire training program. Supports ongoing learning opportunities across the organization as required by the organization's needs. Assists with the development and ongoing maintenance of teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference materials.
Delivers training sessions that motivate and engage attendees covering specified areas such as new hire training and compliance. Provide new employees with initial training on a variety of mortgage-related topics like credit reports, entering a complete and correct loan application, all aspects of mortgage processing, and using mortgage technologies such as AllRegs and LoanBeam.
Will be considered subject matter expert (SME), providing assistance where and when needed for all mortgage staff, including but not limited to, encouragement of meeting department goals, refresher training, and providing consistent, structured assistance as employees assimilate into their new roles. Determines appropriate training content and method of delivery to close skill gaps.
Assists employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their position. Makes suggestions on improving work procedures, when appropriate. Studies/prepares independently to learn skills used to enhance training methods. Mentors employees needing additional support in performing their current role’s responsibilities.

What you’ll bring:
3–5 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Proven ability to influence, motivate, educate, and advise others on matters of significance.
Comfortable engaging in in-depth conversations with customers, team members, leadership, and external vendors.
Demonstrated diplomacy and sound judgment when navigating complex or sensitive situations.
