GE Appliances, a Haier company, is looking for highly motivated students to join our team. Our legal interns gain real world experience to help them develop their skills and learn from challenging assignments. You will have the opportunity to provide essential support to our top legal and business leaders. Your contributions will assist these leaders to make informed decisions and drive the company's success. Legal interns will gain extensive exposure to a range of legal fields. This may include Intellectual Property (IP) law, employment law, corporate law, litigation, privacy law, regulatory compliance, government affairs and the day-to-day experiences of in-house counsel, providing them with a broad and diverse understanding of the legal profession. You’ll get hands-on experience driving business outcomes, receive ongoing support and coaching from leaders, and network with interns and team members across the country.Essential Responsibilities:
· Support legal department by reviewing and drafting contracts
· Attend meetings and negotiations
· Complete legal research and provide clear, concise summaries, both verbal and written
· Strong involvement in legal department initiatives
· Willingness to assume responsibilities consistent with department goals
· Additional project work, as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Enrolled in an accredited law school with a graduation date of May 2028 or later; or Enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with a demonstrated interest in attending law school and a graduation date of May 2027 or earlier.
· Cumulative GPA >=3.0 (out of 4.0)
· Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week during the following business hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
· Position located in Louisville, KY
· Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; GE Appliances will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

· Possess strong research and writing skills.
· Possess the ability to quickly develop functional knowledge of processes.
· Have excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral communication skills.
· Possess strong internet and computer skills as well as proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
· Detail-oriented and have a strong level of accountability.
· Be self-guided; able to work logically through daily issues.
· Be reliable; able to maintain high attendance standards.
· Exhibit professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
