What you will do

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Draft and review a broad range of legal documents and commercial contracts, supporting both business operations and corporate functions across the organization.

• Assist internal stakeholders in the negotiation and implementation of contracts, helping ensure alignment with business objectives while identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.

• Provide day-to-day legal advice on a wide range of matters, including commercial, consumer and contractual law, as well as regulatory and product compliance issues.

• Support the management of pre-litigation matters, disputes and claims, including liaising with external counsel where needed and helping coordinate the collection of relevant documentation and internal inputs.

• Contribute to the legal support of key business projects and cross-functional initiatives involving HQ, Product Lines and Markets across the region.

• Work closely with senior members of the Legal Team on strategic matters and more complex legal issues, while progressively building autonomy in the management of recurring legal workstreams.

• Actively contribute to the digital transformation of the Legal Team, supporting the development and improvement of legal processes, workflows, templates and tools to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

What you need to succeed

Must have

• Strong background in contract law and commercial transactions.

• Keen on working in a dynamic and challenging commercial environment with international exposure.

• A natural inclination for business and commercial awareness, with a practical approach, sound judgment and the ability to provide clear and solution-oriented legal support.

• Eager to delve into the digital world and keep up with new technologies of interest to the legal and corporate world.

Nice to have

• Qualified lawyer

• Previous exposure to an international and matrix business environment

Education: Master’s degree in law from a law school in Italy

Professional experience: 2-3 years of experience (PQE) as in-house counsel for companies with international operations or in law firms advising corporate clients in cross-border matters.

Language: Excellent communication skills both in Italian and in English, spoken and written.

Soft skills:

• Good interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally, at all levels and within the legal function, in the context of both supervisory and non-supervisory relationships.

• Self-motivated, quick learner, team player and able to work under pressure.

• Able to balance legal accuracy with business needs and priorities, with a hands-on and pragmatic mindset.
