About the Role:
The College of Science and Engineering is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to lead excellence in teaching across molecular science, with a focus on molecular biology and biochemistry. You will inspire students through innovative, student-centred teaching, drive curriculum development, and champion the use of advanced learning technologies
As a Teaching Specialist, you will:
Lead and deliver engaging, multi-mode teaching across molecular science topics.
Design, review, and innovate curricula and courses to enhance learning and student success.
Provide educational leadership, mentoring, and support for students and teaching teams.
This position is open to interstate candidates and relocation support is available.
About You:
We are looking for a dynamic, student-focused educator with a PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field. You bring sustained tertiary teaching excellence, innovation in curriculum and learning design, and leadership in course coordination and educational best practice. Experience with online learning platforms, international programs, and professional engagement is highly desirable.
Candidates will be determined to be suitable for Level B or Level C positions depending on their relevant experience.
In addition, you will demonstrate:
Proven excellence in tertiary teaching, curriculum design, and course coordination.
Strong leadership and mentoring experience within teaching teams or programs, for career stage.
Capacity to develop programs for international off-shore delivery independently or in collaboration with external partners.
Tertiary qualifications in Education (desirable) are an advantage.
