Job Description
The Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), within the School of Medicine, invites applicants to apply for a 12-month non-tenure track position.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide didactic and clinical instruction during the 12-month calendar year to support the educational mission of the department. This will include involvement in our Bachelor’s degree and Master of Science in speech-language pathology programs. The person in this position will provide clinical services to clients in the university-based clinic (University Health, as operated by Renown Health), provide clinical instruction/education to graduate students within the university-based clinic and/or in community-based settings in local and rural Northern Nevada areas. Duties may include assisting with advising and recruitment efforts. Specific assignments are dependent on departmental needs and the background and skills of the applicant.

The UNR speech pathology and audiology department (UNR-SPA) aim to fill the gap by preparing students to become exceptional clinicians by cultivating an interactive learning environment that promotes critical thinking through the introduction to scientific rigor. UNR-SPA offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. The graduate program is CAA-accredited. The department offers a comprehensive university-based speech and hearing clinic in partnership with University Health, operated by Renown Health. The department provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of individuals of all ages in our region. In addition, we offer specialty clinical experiences in cleft palate, autism, language, literacy, aphasia, swallowing, and voice. The department faculty work together to support each other and the missions of the department and university with culturally responsive practices.
