The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced colleague with a strong passion for Learning and Development. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals, delivering impactful development offerings to all Wholesale Banking employees. You will be working closely with Talent & Learning experts and Commercial Excellence Leads, enabling our people with the right (commercial) skills and knowledge to deliver what matters most to our customers and our business.

You will report into the Lead for ComEx and WB Business School, who has the global responsibility for shaping a compelling core development offering for all Wholesale Banking staff.

Role & Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to design and deliver engaging and effective learning experiences that drive performance.  You will build scalable learning interventions for upskilling and reskilling​. This includes (re)designing, implementing, measuring and continuously improving learning solutions aligned to the ING Wholesale Banking strategy and which ensure a future-ready workforce.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts from the business, ING University (CoE), Talent & Learning teams, CPS Learning Ops, HRBPs and other (external) partners.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Scalable and innovative learning solutions: Further develop our comprehensive curriculum, design new learning offerings that enable personal growth and commercial performance and build scalable learning interventions that support the delivery of the WB strategy
  • Learning experience and learner engagement: Design high-quality, learning experiences which are aligned with strategic capability priorities and provide ING professionals with opportunities to learn from and with peers, subject matter experts, and communities, while embracing digital learning approaches to enhance accessibility, scalability, and impact
  • Data-Driven Insights: Develop reporting (dashboarding) to measure learning outcomes using global dashboards and manage tracking for WB specific KPIs​; deliver data analysis and insights using appropriate data sources​; Deliver recommendations to support data-driven decision making​
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage and align with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of learning initiatives in line with ING’s global learning standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with CPS to ensure end-to-end delivery of learning programs, maintaining high standards in scheduling, budgeting, and resource management

How to succeed

We are looking for candidate who is driven by curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and improvement. The profile or the ideal candidate:

  • A (certified) learning and development specialist who has experience in translating business priorities into impactful learning solutions for employees and leadership (skills, knowledge, mindset and behaviours)
  • Passion for employee experience and innovative learning methodologies and technologies, including digital learning solutions
  • Tech and tool savviness (e.g. Sarepoint, content management, PowerBI), Data fluency (analytical skills, visualisation) and a critical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, facilitation, written and presentation) and experience with (digital) sales and marketing
  • Good understanding of ING’s organization and experience in earning trust and credibility at senior management levels.
  • Business acumen and the ability to drive change (stakeholder management, planning & alignment)
  • Focus on continuous improvement to reach high levels of performance, learning engagement and impact
  • Relevant academic background, preferably a master's degree in educational sciences, Business Administration or a related field
