Learning & Development Owner

Position Summary

  • To support the site in management of learning and development activities.
  • To ensure compliance with all internal procedures and the appropriate sections of the GSK Quality Management System

Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Ensure learning items and curricula are defined, kept up to date and maintained through partnering with subject matter experts and the curriculum owners
  • Work to generate the site training plan. Schedule and arrange logistics for internal and external training courses. Prioritise mandatory and expected compliance training.
  • Manage relationships with third party vendors ensuring they adhere to all required processes and documentation.
  • Manage the site learning systems and processes, including management of the team mailbox
  • Ensure effective recording of all training to agreed standards
  • Complete, retain and archive Learning & Development documents in accordance with Good Documentation Practise and all relevant local and company procedures.
  • Carry out compliance activities such as Gemba, L1 Self Inspections and act as a subject matter expert during internal and external regulatory and customer audits.
  • Continuously improve Learning & Development processes, ways of working and training delivery methods, leading discrete projects at a local level.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Educated to at least HNC level in an appropriate discipline or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing learning projects and budgets.
  • Good analytical skills and experience using feedback and data to improve programs.

Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Educated to at least HND/degree level in an appropriate discipline or extensive experience in a similar role. CIPD certification in Learning and Development subjects would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital learning tools.
  • Qualification in learning, training, instructional design or related field.
