Your New Role...   

The Warner Bros Discovery Learning and Development (L&D) Team is a part of the People and Culture group, and our mission is simple: we help employees grow and succeed. L&D is all about giving people the tools, resources, and opportunities to learn new skills and develop professionally so they can be the best version of themselves at work and perform at the highest level.  

 

As part of the L&D operations team, you’ll play a key role in the behind-the-scenes work that makes learning happen. This includes coordinating training schedules, handling logistics, updating learning systems, and producing reports to measure impact. You’ll also help promote L&D programs internally, work with vendors, and contribute to projects that improve the employee learning experience. 

 

 

Your Role Accountabilities... 

  •  Project Support: Assist with projects across the wider L&D team, including areas like people manager development, open-enrolment courses, leadership programs, and AI & technology learning. 
  • Administrative Coordination: Support the day-to-day operations of L&D programs, including scheduling, reporting, managing surveys, responding to employee enquiries, maintaining learning platforms, and administering assessments. 
  • Virtual Session Support: Help set up and provide technical assistance for live virtual learning sessions to ensure a smooth experience for participants. 
  • Evaluation & Insights: Collect feedback, analyze data, and present findings to help measure the impact of learning and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Content Design & Communication: Create and deliver campaigns that promote learning and keep employees engaged, ensuring they know what opportunities are available and feel motivated to participate. 
  • Research & Innovation: Explore current trends and new ideas in the learning & development space to keep our offering fresh and relevant. 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience...

  • You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study, looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2028.  
  • Genuine interest in Learning & Development, Human Resources, or helping people grow professionally. 
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels and in different countries. 
  • Proactive and resourceful in solving problems and supporting projects. 
  • Ability to analyze feedback and data to identify trends and insights. 
  • Comfortable following processes while looking for ways to improve efficiency. 
  • Competence in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and a working knowledge of Co-Pilot. 

The Internship… 

  • Salary: £27,000 p/a  
  • Contract Length: 12 months   
  • Start Date: 6th July 2026 
  • You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.  
  • You will have access to personal and professional development courses, executive speakers’ series, special screenings and more.  
  • You will be part of our Early Talent network of over 100 interns & apprentices, meaning you will have an important support network of other students, graduates and apprentices and plenty of opportunities to socialise!

  • Stage 2: For eligible candidates, you will be invited to complete a written questionnaire in HireVue. The deadline for this is Sunday 8th February. 
  • Stage 3: Pre-recorded video interview via HireVue will be sent out, to be completed in February. 
  • Stage 4: Assessment Centres & Interviews will take place in April.

Although you will be hired by Warner Bros. Discovery, upon the planned separation in 2026, your employment likely will transition to Warner Bros. or transition to Discovery Global. During this period of transformation, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to lay the foundation at one of the world’s premier entertainment brands.  

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
