Learning Design & Delivery Specialist

As our Learning Design & Delivery Specialist, you’ll lead the design and development of impactful learning experiences across OS. You’ll work closely with Talent & Learning Specialists, leaders and subject‑matter experts to translate capability needs into engaging workshops, digital content, toolkits and blended pathways.

You’ll champion learning quality standards, apply evidence‑based practices, and use data and feedback to continuously improve learner experiences. From creating accessible learning materials to delivering psychologically safe and inclusive sessions, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our people learn and grow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and maintain consistent learning design standards across the organisation, ensuring all solutions are evidence based, accessible, and aligned to our brand identity.

  • Partner closely with stakeholders, Talent & Learning Specialists, and suppliers to diagnose capability gaps and understand learner and business needs.

  • Translate insights and needs analyses into clear, actionable design briefs and mapped learner journeys aligned to capability frameworks and talent processes.

  • Design and develop end to end learning solutions, including workshops, blended pathways, toolkits, digital assets, and curated content, that are visually engaging, inclusive, and user centred.

  • Facilitate high impact virtual and in person learning experiences that build psychological safety and enable meaningful real world application.

  • Manage and administer the learning management system to ensure seamless delivery, tracking, reporting, and continuous optimisation of learning.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning using data and feedback, iterating content and communicating behavioural and performance impact.

  • Demonstrates expert learning design capability, applying learning science, adult learning theory, and evidence based design principles.

  • Brings strong facilitation experience, confidently engaging diverse audiences and creating psychologically safe learning environments.

  • Possesses advanced digital and creative skills, producing accessible, visually compelling, and user centred learning materials.

  • Applies analytical thinking to assess needs, interpret data, generate insights, and translate these into meaningful solutions.

  • Builds strong relationships and collaborates effectively with stakeholders, gathering requirements and partnering to deliver high quality outcomes.

  • Maintains a rigorous focus on quality and detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high standards across all learning outputs.

  • Demonstrates adaptability, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset, proactively enhancing learning experiences and solving problems effectively.

  • Salary – £42,655 - £49,764 (dependent on experience)

Location

We embrace a hybrid working model at OS, because we believe in flexibility and balance.  You’ll be based at our fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire, where you'll spend 50% of your working week collaborating face-to-face with colleagues. It’s all about combining the best of both worlds connection and autonomy to help you thrive.
