The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Lean Boeing Production System Manager (Level K) to join the Propulsion Systems Division supporting locations in Everett and Kent, Washington on 1st shift. The BCA Propulsion BPS Lean Boeing Production System Manager leads day-to-day continuous improvement and lean execution in propulsion factory operations across Kent and Everett, partnering with site leadership to deliver measurable factory performance improvements focused on Flow, Stability, Quality and Safety. This role will create and own factory improvement plans, facilitate the use of problem solving tools, and integrate the Lean principles. The individual will be required to build and grow a team to support the business needs. Up to 25% travel to Charleston, SC is required.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages direct and indirect employees performing Program improvement strategies for production system, supplier system, and so forth.
Utilization of the BPS 9 tactics to drive improvement
Leads Oobeya development, execution and improvement
Ability to facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement activities
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Drives talent strategy to build and scale high-impact teams
Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience implementing Lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation.
3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
3+ years of experience in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs
3+ years of experience of knowledge and application of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., Boeing Problem Solving Model /Accelerated Improvement Workshop / 3P Production Preparation Process / Kaizen / Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Distribution Kaizen)
5+ years of managing or leading a team
Previous experience with business case development, stakeholder alignment, benefits capture, and continuous improvements
Project management certification
Bachelor’s degree or higher
