Team Testing Services is looking for a Lead Consultant to join the SimCorp office in Italy (Milano/Pistoia/Trieste).
Testing Services Consultants are experienced professionals who play a critical role in safeguarding and improving the quality of SimCorp client solutions by delivering structured, highquality testing services and bestpractice testing approaches across SimCorp Dimension and related platforms. Their work directly supports earlier defect detection, increased test coverage, and higher levels of test automation. By applying standard testing frameworks, leveraging automation where possible, and maintaining deep knowledge of clientspecific business flows, they help reduce risk during releases, improve enduser experience, and strengthen overall client confidence in SimCorp’s solutions.
The Lead Testing Consultant, acting as an individual contributor within the team, provides strategic leadership and takes ownership of the analysis and clarification of complex business and functional requirements and ensures early identification of risks, dependencies, and quality impacts.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Leading strategic analysis of highly complex business, functional, and technical requirements, shaping testing direction across large, high‑risk, or multi‑stream initiatives
Acting as a senior trusted advisor to clients, senior stakeholders, and internal leadership, influencing decisions related to quality, risk management, delivery models, and testing investment
Defining, governing, and continuously evolving testing strategies and quality frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational standards, client expectations, and long‑term service maturity
Synthesizing test outcomes, quality risks, and systemic issues across initiatives, translating them into clear insights and recommendations that support executive‑level decision‑making
Leading complex incident and defect management from a holistic quality perspective, driving root‑cause analysis, cross‑team alignment, and sustainable improvements to prevent recurrence
Contributing to the advancement of Testing Services by defining best practices, mentoring senior consultants, supporting capability development, and shaping how testing is delivered across the organization
Taking leadership on the project, defining scope, ensuring the initiative remains on track, and contributing to overall project optimization
WHAT WE VALUE
Educational background in STEM or Finance
Financial knowledge in investment banking and accounting
Know-how in at least one of the following areas: Front Office, Back Office, Accounting processes or Financial Transaction Workflows
8-10 years of experience in software testing or a comparable background
Practical coding experience (C# preferred; Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell also welcome) or strong tech‑savviness
Experience in creating test automation scripts and scenarios is highly welcome
Experience in usage of versioning control (Git/Azure DevOps or similar)
Hands-on experience working within Agile methodology
Strong analytical judgment and translating complexity into clear direction
Leading with ownership and a solution‑focused mindset, proactively managing risks and outcomes
Building client trust through confident decisions and consistent delivery excellence
Maintaining clarity, prioritization, and quality under pressure
Elevating team performance through collaboration, coaching, and knowledge‑sharing
Driving continuous improvement with a growth‑oriented, forward‑looking mindset
Adapting easily to change and operates with flexibility in dynamic environments
Communicating with clarity, authority, and strong consulting presence
Fluency in English (min. B2+ or C1)
