As a Lead Technical Support & Warranty Engineer-Digital Products, Baker Hughes Valves ensure to provide excellent post shipment support to our customers. This critical role based in our Coimbatore, India Plant that provide post shipment technical support and when needed, coordinate cross-functional team activities to provide rapid response to warranty and technical support claims.
As a Lead Warranty & Technical Support Engineer-Digital Products, you will be responsible for:
• Handling all the L1 L2 L3 and L4 warranty positioner cases & participate in regular meetings with Engineering, product management to discuss positioner issues.
• Evaluating incoming post shipment claims for their assigned zone and perform the disposition within 24 hours
• Implementing dispositions for all repair, replace, or field service warranty cases
• Creating replacement orders for warranty cases & create RMAs for defective devices
• Evaluating returned digital devices & provide customer with evaluation reports.
• Performing a weekly escaping defect meeting with site stakeholders to share L2 issues and confirm CAPA closure
• Providing a case update for each customer claim with major milestone commitment date on a weekly basis
• Performing weekly L2/L3 Planning meeting with site warranty planner to drive priority to CRD and Promise date fulfilment
• Working directly with the customer or channel partner for Technical Support (L4) queries.
• Analyzing critically field issues to provide quality solutions and determine warranty eligibility following established guidelines
• Coordinating Engineering, Quality, Supply chain, field service, and Channel Partner activities to provide rapid resolution of field issues
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Have Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Control Valves and Digital Positioners Functional Management.
• Have Hands on experience with Control Valve smart positioner calibration, trouble shooting and detailed analysis
• Have Excellent product technical knowledge of Baker Hughes Masoneilan Products
• Have ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Have Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
