The Lead Technical Developer will collaborate with Design, Product Management, materials, quality, color, Merchandising, Planning, Sourcing, and our factory partners to effectively execute on product development and fit goal deliverables.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Technical Developer with expertise in project management, construction, fit standards, textiles, trims, and graphics to be part of our creative team within Nike Apparel. We are seeking an optimistic, self-aware collaborator who embraces change, accountability, feedback, and diverse perspectives. A key part of this role is understanding the full scope of product creation from design concept to production, driving discussions to meet on-time delivery dates, leading the team with technical recommendations that serve our athletes and consumers and communicating issues or offering solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will work on complex styles to create and update Tech Packs and Development documentation for our factory partners, including measurements, construction sketches, graphic placements, and Bill of Materials. You will lead proto review sessions and write comments. In addition, you will drive and execute fit and construction standards for a team or product group to ensure consistency. You will raise awareness of potential quality or manufacturing risks and influence triad partners to resolve prior to prototype creation. You will track and request prototypes for your styles end-to-end, manage and meet your calendar target dates, attend meetings that relate to your product’s development and communicate progress and challenges to your team as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will work within the Energy Apparel team, managing your assigned styles collaboratively with your cross-functional partners on creative solutions and execution while creating digital protos and tech packs for our factories. You will review protos and samples, taking the styles through the creation process to meet gates and dates to ensure on-time production.
