Team Lead – Software Engineering
Role Summary:
Lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of complex software solutions and system enhancements. Drive end-to-end project execution while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. Prior experience in the Distribution / Airline domain is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for full-scale projects or dedicated project teams.
- Design, develop, and enhance zTPF applications (Assembler, TPF, TPFDF, TPF-C expertise preferred).
- Utilize and manage software revision control systems such as CVS.
- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in core technologies,
- Familiarity with Development environments IDE like zTPFGI or z/TPF IBM Toolkit.
- Apply advanced engineering concepts to manage and deliver large, complex initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
- Address customer-reported issues and recommend system improvements and enhancements.
- Contribute to and review technical documentation.
- Architect, design, and code complex applications leveraging advanced technologies.
- Develop optimization and prototype solutions to address performance or functional challenges.
- Oversee product development lifecycle and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Lead application design and development using both standard and advanced methodologies.
Experience Required:
- 8–10 years of relevant experience, including hands-on expertise in zTPF (Assemebler, TPF) and strong knowledge of TPF-C.
- Experience working in CMS environments with multiple virtual partitions (VM).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and system optimization capabilities.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience delegating tasks and mentoring junior team members.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
