The Boeing CompanyThe Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Lead, Senior or Expert Test & Evaluation Engineer to serve as the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Test Technical Lead Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
The PAC-3 Engineering Team is responsible for designing RADAR seeker upgrades and next generation concepts, as well as supporting production and special test equipment design. Boeing has a multi-year contract to develop, test, and manufacture the PAC-3 RADAR seeker. This program encompasses concurrent design, test and manufacturing as new upgrades to this complex electro-mechanical assembly are incorporated into production. This long-term program is rapidly growing in Huntsville due to design updates, production growth, and Boeing facilities consolidations.
The Test Technical Lead will provide technical oversight to SEIT capability Test Conductors as they lead test planning, readiness reviews, and test execution across development, verification, and validation activities for both the PAC-3 seeker system and supporting test equipment. The successful Test Technical Lead Engineer will be familiar with test command media and best practices and adapt it to the PAC-3 system and program, engaging mentees with an Advise, Assist, Check mentality to bring consistency across testing on the program.
Position Responsibilities:
Establishes PAC-3 Program Instructions for verification and validation, ensuring consistency with Boeing DPs, BPIs, and BPGs
Coordinates a multi-skilled (electrical, mechanical, project, systems, etc.) engineering team to develop and execute effective testing strategies from planning through data review
Leads the development of test system requirements and verification methodologies during verification and validation activities
Leads Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and resolutions on issues relating to test activities
Ensures Technical Readiness Review rigor
Supports program Risk, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) management board
Supports testing aspect of proposal preparation
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
8 or more years of experience in analysis of requirements, architecture design and product design
8 or more years of experience leading a multi-skilled (electrical, mechanical, project, systems, etc.) engineering teams
8 or more years of experience executing Tests to verify and validate requirements
Experience in missile system development and weapon system integration
Experience using technical and program management techniques to manage large-scale technical development efforts
Experience mentoring junior engineers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Masters or Doctorate of Science degree in Engineering or related science or technology field degree
Experience in pulse doppler radar system architectures and design/test practices
Experience with PAC-3 Seeker development, qualification, testing, and fielding
Experience developing test requirements and procedures to validate meet system and component level development requirements
Experience with early program lifecycle development and risk reduction activities
Responsible for Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP), where you will establish criteria and artifacts and have approval authority for key program milestones (PDR, CDR, etc.)
Expertise in multiple domains including digital/analog/mixed signal design, embedded systems, power electronics, RF, systems engineering, or optical system design
Experience leading development of architectural approaches from customer and system requirements
Extensive experience managing/leading engineering projects
Proven experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams
Typical Education / Experience:
Lead: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Senior: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Expert: 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

Lead (Level 4): $126,650 - $171, 350
Senior (Level 5): $154,700 - $209,300
Expert (Level 6): $188,700 - $255,300
