About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Regulatory Approvals, the Lead, Regulatory Approvals is responsible for acquiring regulatory approvals for major water quality management and mine development projects through our Social, Environmental and Regulatory Approvals (SERA) framework at our coal mining operations.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong knowledge of federal and provincial regulatory approvals processes and regulations, particularly within British Columbia. The ideal candidate brings a background in aquatic sciences, water management, or a related discipline. This person is self-motivated, detail-orientated and can organize and prioritize competing demands. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to connect with internal and external parties to identify and resolve issues, are vital for success.
