Streamlinedefense

Lead Recruiter

Tampa, Florida, United States Full Time

Streamline Defense is seeking a high-energy, driven, self-sufficient recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting across our growing portfolio supporting the U.S. Military and Intelligence Community. Based in Tampa, Florida, this role is primarily office-based with flexibility to work remotely. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment, wants real autonomy, and is ready to build the fastest, most innovative recruiting operation in the industry.

One more thing. We are not interested in how recruiting has been done for the last 30 years. The person who owns this function will be the lead architect of a secure, AI-driven recruiting operation that delivers cleared talent on demand. This is a foundational hire. As Streamline scales, you will hire, train, and manage a dedicated talent acquisition team, building a distributed recruiting operation with regional coverage across key defense and intelligence hubs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for positions supporting customers across the IC, U.S. Combatant Commands, and Military Services
  • Jump in immediately on open requisitions and source, screen, and close the best available candidates with urgency
  • Work directly from the BD pipeline to build candidate pipelines ahead of contract awards, not just in response to open reqs
  • Use AI to accelerate every stage of the recruiting lifecycle: job req development, screening questionnaires, interview plans, resume review, and drip campaigns
  • Manage recruiting activity on a live Kanban board, keeping pipeline stages current and candidates moving daily
  • Develop and champion our SkillBridge program in partnership with military transition offices, building a pipeline of recruiting talent that grows with Streamline over time
  • Own and continuously improve our internal ATS (Greenhouse), maintaining pipeline visibility, workflow integrity, and reporting
  • Coordinate with BD and program teams to provide candidate availability intel supporting proposal efforts and LOIs
  • Maintain an active presence on LinkedIn and social media to build Streamline's employer brand and attract passive candidates
  • Attend recruiting events, career fairs, and veteran transition events to build pipeline and represent the Streamline brand
  • Continuously push the function forward because there is always a better way, and you are expected to find it

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-8 years of full-cycle defense or IC recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to source and close candidates for cleared roles across the defense and intelligence space
  • Proven experience building recruiting processes from scratch, optimizing an ATS, or mentoring and leading junior recruiters
  • Proficiency with core recruiting platforms: Greenhouse ATS, ClearanceJobs, Indeed, and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Active and effective presence on LinkedIn and social media as both a sourcing tool and a brand-building channel
  • Familiarity with SkillBridge program mechanics and Transition Assistance Program (TAP) offices at military installations
  • Experience attending live recruiting events, career fairs, and veteran transition events
  • A high-velocity, data-driven mindset: you understand how to balance proactive top-of-funnel pipeline building with the highly targeted, relationship-driven approach required to close cleared talent
  • Flexibility and autonomy to operate on the candidate's schedule because you understand that cleared professionals often work in SCIFs and require after-hours or weekend engagement to get the close
  • An innovator who is constantly generating ideas to make the recruiting process faster, smarter, and more efficient
  • Genuine comfort with AI tools, automation, and emerging recruiting technology; if new tools slow you down rather than energize you, this is not the right environment
  • Experience at a cleared staffing agency or fast-growing small defense contractor with the ability to operate without a supporting team
  • Military background or deep familiarity with the military and veteran community strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in a BD-driven, contract-award-dependent headcount environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Existing network in the IC, SOCOM, or broader cleared defense talent community
  • Experience building or contributing to employer brand content: job posts, employee spotlights, community engagement
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies or Kanban-style workflow management
  • Experience using AI tools in a recruiting or talent acquisition context

COMPENSATION

Competitive base salary with performance incentives tied to what matters: how fast and how well you fill.
