About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Department Description

  • The mission of the Solutions Center of Excellence (CoE) is to build, deliver, and support demonstration environments for use by our Solution Engineers (SEs) globally. These environments incorporate the latest Salesforce capabilities, providing the baseline required to deliver best-practice demos. We enable our SEs to scale, innovate, and provide the best product demonstrations of their careers.

Role Description

  • We are looking for a Lead Technical Product Owner to lead our in house build Tooling development powered by modern AI including Salesforce Agentforce and Saleforce LLM Gateway. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will act as the Product Owner helping to represent the needs of SEs who use automation tools to spend less time configuring demos.
  • You will go beyond managing a backlog; you will own high-impact, multi-month initiatives that span our entire portfolio. You will define the "technical engine" by creating the scalable technical frameworks and architecture that make our market stories a reality. You will serve as the connectivity hub for the entire organization, bridging the gap between our Central Core technology, the SDO, and global Industry teams.
  • Crucially, you will work heavily with our Platform and Tooling teams to evaluate our AI tooling needs. You will serve as the primary technical voice in assessing which AI tools and infrastructure investments are required to support our long-term roadmap, ensuring our environments remain cutting-edge and scalable.
  • If you are passionate about driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and shaping the future of AI-driven demos, we invite you to join the Solutions Center of Excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Strategic Vision & Roadmap (Trusted Partner)

  • AI Tooling Strategy: Partner with AI Tooling Strategist to evaluate and prioritize AI tooling needs. For the tooling where we decide to build vs buy, you will be the Product Owner in an agile development environment.
  • Roadmap Alignment: Influence roadmap prioritization by representing AI technical needs in strategic planning. Ensure alignment across business units and anticipate shifts in Salesforce’s AI product direction to support long-term goals.

2. Communication & Collaboration (Translator & Collaborator)

  • Relationship Building: Build coalitions that enable cross-functional strategy execution. Leverage influence and diplomacy to sustain long-term trust and alignment with Product, Solutions Consultants, Platform, Tooling, and Demo Tech stakeholders.
  • Technical Translation: Establish organizational standards for technical translation, converting complex AI concepts like LLMs and prompt engineering into clear business value to enable alignment at executive and cross-functional levels.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate release trains and align with enterprise-level roadmaps to ensure AI dependencies are managed effectively across multiple industry teams.

3. Project/Program Management (Business Owner)

  • Enterprise Backlog Management: Define enterprise-level backlog management standards for AI initiatives. Shape organizational priorities and model advanced prioritization practices for other Product Owners.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience, with a strong background in Product Ownership, Solution Engineering, or Product Management.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Salesforce AI capabilities (Agentforce, LLM Gateway) and Data Cloud, with the ability to anticipate product trends and align them with technical solutions.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Current Salesforce AI Specialist and Data Cloud Consultant certifications are required (in addition to Administrator)
  • Scrum Certification: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
  • Agile Mastery: Experience acting as a Product Owner in a scaled Agile environment. Proven track record of aligning backlog priorities with business objectives and delivering high-value increments.
  • Communication: Strong oral, written, and presentation skills. Ability to establish enterprise-wide standards for clear communication.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technical initiatives or portfolio-level backlog management.
  • Previous experience as a Solution Engineer (SE) or in a pre-sales environment.
  • Experience building or managing Large Language Model (LLM) prompts and grounding strategies.
