PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
At Global Payments we support businesses across the world with their payment technology needs through a broad suite of products and services. The Merchant Engagement & Insights team are responsible for the Merchant Portal, our cloud-based digital platform for customer engagement, which provides our customers with access to the payment data, insights and value-add solutions that they need to run and grow their business.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager with strong analytical and delivery execution skills to drive product requirements from concept to production. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience translating PRDs into actionable work, collaborating deeply with engineering, and ensuring successful delivery through Agile ceremonies and release cycles.
The Product Manager will help drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of our Core Reporting Services—the foundation for analytics, insights, and compliance reporting across our payment platform. This team member will help implement the roadmap for all enterprise-grade reporting capabilities, ensuring our customers, partners, and internal teams have timely, accurate, and actionable data to operate and grow their businesses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Translate high-level Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) into structured Features, Epics, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects evolving business needs and customer feedback.
Partner with engineering leads to groom stories, clarify requirements, and ensure development teams have full understanding before implementation.
Facilitate story sizing / estimation sessions and ensure work is appropriately sequenced for upcoming sprints.
Actively participate in all core Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Help track progress of committed stories throughout the sprint; remove roadblocks and ensure alignment with sprint goals.
Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and cross-functional partners to ensure on-time delivery of features with high quality.
Ensure Stories, Epics, and deliverables meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
Oversee tracking and validation of deliverables through Beta/UAT phases and ensure readiness for production launch.
Coordinate with release management, operations, and support teams to prepare for production rollout.
Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch; document enhancements, defects, and follow-up needs.

EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3-5 years product management experience. Experience working on technology products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, or data scientist.
Proven track record writing clear, concise Features, Epics, and User Stories.
Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, including grooming, estimation, sprint planning, and incremental releases.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work closely with engineering teams.
Experience managing products through beta, go‑live, and post-production phases.
Familiarity with product tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Lucid, or equivalent.
Proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment.
Product management experience with data management and/ or data visualization tools would be beneficial.
Prior payments or technology industry experience is preferred but not required.
Bachelor’s degree from college or university.
Prior experience in SaaS, payments, or enterprise platforms.
