PURPOSE:
This position’s primary responsibility is to safeguard individuals, assets and premises from potential threats. The individual will provide guidance related to the planning, design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of video surveillance and intrusion detection systems for SECU branches and ATMs. This individual will implement security procedures and monitor surveillance systems. The position will act as liaison between Credit Union employees, vendors, and law enforcement agencies to help ensure organizational security.
DIMENSIONS:
This position will work closely with branch and operations personnel via phone and email. Individuals will respond to employee concerns promptly with the intent to facilitate requests in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Travel required on an as needed basis.
DUTIES:
Project planning, coordination, scheduling, and implementation; all while strictly adhering to assigned budget.
Troubleshoot and provide support to vendors/technicians with hardware installation and system programming for video surveillance and intrusion detection devices and systems.
Design and review branch security plans and manage the installation project to completion.
Create security risk assessment criteria and conduct assessments of high-risk branches to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Lead point-of-contact with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to adequately detect and respond to after-hours issues, alarms, or other security incidents.
Oversee vendor relationships and contracts.
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
Research, implement, and create cost analyses for new security devices or technologies to assess their adequacy, effectiveness, and compatibility.
Oversee the response, assessment, and remediation procedures for instances of burglary and/or vandalization of SECU facilities.
Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other measurable metrics to monitor against organizational benchmarks and objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Ability to occasionally travel and stay overnight for various security response needs, projects, and conferences.
Be required to perform after-hours support on an as-needed basis
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. 7+ is preferred.
Expert knowledge of the core physical security techniques: deter, detect, delay, and defend.
Expert technical knowledge and experience with video surveillance and CCTV systems.
Expert technical knowledge and experience with intrusion detection systems.
Certification such as Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP)is preferred.
Work independently as well as within a team environment to deliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) along with organizational skills to coordinate project activities.
Ability to train and mentor staff.
Must be able to speak English fluently in a professional manner.
Attention to detail and the ability to resolve time-sensitive issues in a timely manner.
Able to prioritize multiple tasks with good decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
Shows initiative and engages in proactive behavior.
Ability to research new technology, draft cost analyses, and present to peers.
Must always maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
Must engage in ongoing training and professional development.
