Job Description

Responsible for supporting and maintaining the Model Risk Management framework consistent with business and regulatory requirements. Assist Model Risk Management leadership in meeting model risk governance and oversight requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate monitoring of model risk policy requirements and related metrics, escalate breeches, and manage exceptions.
  • Create key reports for risk metrics used in senior level distribution.
  • Perform subject matter expert reviews and oversight of model governance, model identification, model use and model controls in the first line of defense.
  • Perform subject matter expert reviews and oversight of Artificial Intelligence use cases including identification and risk assessment.
  • Maintain and enhance the model inventory and findings repositories tool for limited-scope projects.
  • With supervision, design and deliver training to partners on policies, procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Collaborate with senior management and colleagues in business and staff functions across the enterprise in the development, review and revision of model risk policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in model risk management, analytical risk management or finance in banking or insurance.
  • Proven ability to apply both strategic and analytic techniques to provide business solutions and recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Solid analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret data, reach conclusions and take action.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with emphasis on controls, evidence, and auditability.
  • Solid organization skills including multitasking and time-management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to navigate fast paced, matrixed environment and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Model Risk Management experience or experience as a Business Analyst/Reporting Analyst in a Risk Management, or Audit Function.
  • Strong working knowledge of Model Inventory software.
