Position Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead system development activities for Flight Control systems (High‑lift systems, primary flight control, folding wing systems and relevant systems).

  • Provide technical direction, mentoring, and peer review for the engineering team to ensure on‑time delivery and first‑time quality.

  • Create and maintain plans, schedules, risk registers (RIOs), and status reports for assigned technical scope.

Systems, Safety & Architecture

  • Define and decompose system‑level requirements and allocate to subsystems and hardware/software elements. Produce and maintain subsystem specifications, SCDs, critical item development specs, procurement specs, ICDs, and supplier SOWs.

  • Lead system safety activities including hazard identification, functional hazard assessment (FHA), system safety assessment (SSA), and requirements for safety mitigation.

  • Optimize system architecture for reuse, reliability, maintainability, and safety.

  • Identify & lead system-level changes and comply with change management processes.

Verification, Validation & Certification

  • Lead V&V activities: Define verification strategies, plan and witness system‑level testing, and ensure traceability to requirements. Meet development assurance plan objectives.

  • Perform system-level analysis activities (kinematics, system stress coordination, performance/frequency response / control margins / stability, layout and system separation, thermal analyses, dynamic analyses, flight safety and reliability analyses).

  • Support FAA/EASA certification processes and documentation; demonstrate regulatory compliance.

  • Lead stage‑gate and development assurance reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, DAR) and meet readiness for certification milestones.

Integration & Supplier Management 

  • Lead airplane‑level system integration and collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as avionics, hydraulics, structures, displays, landing gear, maintenance and suppliers.

  • Engage suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues; drive corrective actions and assurance activities.

  • Perform equipment management responsibilities including procured item review, qualification, and configuration control.

  • Support customer engineering activities: investigations, reports, publications, training reviews, safety assessments, service bulletins, and modifications.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with Boeing teams and stakeholders; provide periodic updates on technical progress, quality metrics, risks, and milestones.

  • Support Boeing India initiatives for engineering excellence, employee development, and customer engagement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support digital engineering and model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) initiatives where applicable.

  • Travel as required to suppliers, test sites, and other Boeing locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology ( Including Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical , Mechanical, Information Technology ), Computer Science or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • Hands-on experience with Flight Control systems engineering development, integration and testing.

  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of ARP4754A and ARP4761; familiarity of FAA/EASA regulations

  • Expert level competency of CATIA, DOORS, Matlab & Simulink; working knowledge of scripting or programming (MATLAB, C, or Python).

  • Experience of working on development assurance / certification processes; working with suppliers for technical deliverables and qualification processes

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; strong stakeholder collaboration and problem-solving abilities.

  • High ethical standards, positive attitude, and proactive mindset.

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior experience of Boeing or major commercial aircraft programs.

  • Experience in service engineering of aircraft systems issues (flight controls, Actuation etc.,).

  • Knowledge of DGCA, CEMILAC, MIL or other regional type-certification processes.

  • Understanding of RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254

  • Experience with model-based systems engineering tools like Cameo or Rhapsody.

  • Experience applying AI/ML to systems engineering or digital engineering workflows

  • Certifications in aviation/aerospace system safety, accident/incident analysis, or safety program management

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through a bachelor’s in engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace) and typically 12+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. master’s in engineering + 11 years' related work experience).
