Description of Assignment

We are looking for a curious and hands-on studentwho enjoys diving deep into technical questions and figuring things out thoroughly. You will work on two concrete investigative projects that directly impact our standardization and innovation efforts. 

This role is ideal for an intern who loves analytical work, isn’t afraid to explore details, and communicates openly when guidance is needed. 

Department Description

Centre of Excellence is a department in Vanderlande, taking care of all kinds generic tasks. As a department we specialize in a wide variety of subjects. This includes, for example software development, machine safety, compliance, tools and applications and standardization of all kinds of electrical and mechanical parts and components. The total team consists out of approximately 30 engineers, both male and female and other interns as well. Our core values are respect, trust and fun.

Key Assignments

Photocell Investigation (Standard Material Book) 

• Map all photocells currently included in the standard material book 

• Identify duplicates in terms of distance, function, or other specifications 

• Provide structured overviews and a recommendation for standardization 

Installation Tester Recommendation 

• Investigate which installation tester should be purchased for the Innovation Center 

• Contact suppliers to gather technical and commercial information 

• Compare available testers and prepare clear decisionsupport overviews 

• Present a wellfounded recommendation to stakeholders

• Comfortable interacting with external suppliers  
• *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
