Technical Leadership & Architecture
Lead the engineering design, configuration, and lifecycle management of the GridOS DERMS and associated grid modernization technologies.
Develop end‑to‑end architecture for DER integration, including telemetry, forecasting, control strategies, interoperability, and system security.
Oversee engineering studies related to DER impacts, flexible interconnections using dispatch limiting schedules, real‑time operational constraints, and feeder‑level flexibility.
Define and maintain technical standards, engineering practices, and solution governance.
DERMS Implementation & Integration
Serve as the technical lead for the DERMS deployments, upgrades, and feature enhancements.
Coordinate DERMS integration with ADMS, SCADA, EMS, GIS, OMS, MDMS, AMI, and enterprise data platforms.
Partner with IT/OT cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with NERC CIP and internal security requirements.
Validate system functionality through use-case design, testing, and operational simulations.
Operational Support & Reliability Engineering
Collaborate with System Operations to ensure DERMS tools and workflows support real‑time situational awareness and dispatch.
Support FERC Order 2222 operational integration with DERMS.
Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system optimization for DERMS and related grid technologies.
Develop guidelines for DER visibility, control hierarchies, and operator decision support tools.
Support outage restoration processes where DER interactions impact reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Program Delivery
Act as the engineering interface with vendors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Translate operational needs into technical requirements and system design.
Contribute to regulatory filings, pilots, grant proposals, and technical reports.
Provide mentorship and technical coaching to engineering teams and project staff.
Data, Analytics & Forecasting
