What You'll Bring:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead with Full Stack Data Engineering skill set to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable data pipelines, working with big data technologies, and deploying solutions on cloud platforms like GCP and AWS. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure and applications that support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead team to enhance and develop the platform with Java/Spring Boot tech stack
• Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Apache Spark, Scala, and Kafka.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Integrate data from various sources using tools like Sqoop, APIs, and streaming platforms.
• Build and maintain data lake and data warehouse solutions on GCP and AWS.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and performance issues.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes for data applications.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Scala and SQL, Apache Spark (batch and streaming).
• Proficiency in Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Experience with Sqoop for data ingestion from RDBMS to Hadoop.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms – especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, version control (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines and data science workflows is a plus.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
