Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to join the Decision Science team within the Credit Card organization. This role focuses on analytics and strategy support for cobrand channels. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical problem‑solver with strong risk expertise, modeling knowledge, and the ability to influence decision‑making across business and technical teams.

In this role, you will
Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals
Lead projects, teams, and mentor
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with Python and SAS, including building analytic workflows for modeling and strategy analysis
Strong SQL skills with the ability to extract, join, and manipulate large datasets from enterprise data environments
Expertise in financial cash‑flow valuation, including NPV and CLV frameworks
Ability to develop and analyze income statements and perform financial valuation
History of developing and supporting credit card strategies such as credit origination, line increases/decreases, balance transfers, and product upgrades
Strong math and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience developing and supporting statistical models
Experience supporting or developing statistical models such as scorecards, risk segmentation models, or predictive models
Working knowledge of digital and branch‑based credit card originations, including third‑party aggregator channels
Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and insights for diverse stakeholders
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners (Product, Marketing, Risk, Decision Science, etc.)
Graduate degree or MBA in statistics, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
