Lead, Consumer Insights -Substantial Snacking

Job Description

The Consumer Insights Lead will be responsible for championing the consumer and own all insights for the Substantial Snacking businesses. The Lead is responsible for identifying, developing and integrating consumer insights throughout these businesses to drive a growth mindset and agility while driving to a consumer-obsessed culture. The Lead will have people responsibilities (Manager – Adult Snacking) and will need to adapt and flex to needs of BU leadership, management, and day-to-day coaching – infusing the right behaviors throughout their insights team (e.g. prioritize, drive future mindset and synthesize / distill information into actionable insights, etc.). Although the Substantial Snacking insights lead will have overall responsibility for Substantial Snacking, this BU lead will be a key partner to the remaining Meats, Cheese, & Coffee, Snacking business unit collectively driving synergies and learnings across the BU to optimize and maximize brand and category success. Lead will have accountability for custom strategic market research and must also draw from a variety of information sources and internal/external resources to develop insights that provide a competitive advantage to KHC.

Key responsibilities

  • Key Point of Contact for Consumer-Based Platform – key lead to unlock strategic initiatives across platform

  • Unearth powerful consumer insights /Pain points across platform and help identify growth opportunities for brands that improve our long-term equity & innovation efforts

  • Leverage strategic work to identify dig sites for innovation, partner with marketing and R&D to identify, develop and size a multi-year pipeline of new products

  • Develop and lead holistic, comprehensive research plans across communication, product, pack and foundational consumer empathy and understanding

  • Help shape 3Yr Growth Strategy and assist teams in pulling through to brand’s annual marketing plans, including strategy, creative development and optimization

  • Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and help optimize media and channel mix to improve efficiency and ROI

  • Support Enterprise Transformation Agenda - support consumer insights best practices and center of excellence initiatives

  • Develop the 1 direct report of this role and coach them to drive the right skills and behaviors

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree Highly Preferred

  • A minimum five (5+) years of solid Market Research / Insights experience is required on the client-side, or 7+ years with a combination of supplier & client insights experience showcasing increasing responsibilities and scope.

  • Experience working across a category and/or portfolio of products preferred

  • Prior people management experience preferred

  • Proven ability to distill insights and drive impact into an organization – bringing the consumer to forefront

  • High level of tolerance for working in ambiguity, managing change and driving change management

  • Proficiency with different qualitative & quantitative research tools across advertising, innovation, syndicated services

  • Experience and comfort in POS (Nielsen/IRI), Panel, and social listening

  • Experience and comfort in analytical tools (e.g. MTA, Mix, Conjoint, etc.) is required

  • Proficient at storytelling in creative and impactful ways - excellent communication, organization and presentation skills (written, oral, and across Microsoft Office Suite)

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$141,500.00 - $176,900.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
