Lead Business Functional Analyst (f/m/x)

We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to build and lead a small analytics team in Bucharest. The role combines people leadership, delivery ownership, and direct individual contribution. The successful candidate will drive high-quality delivery across management information, analytics, and data-related work, while coaching team members and resolving complex delivery issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a newly established analytics team with a strong delivery focus
• Combine team leadership with hands-on contribution across analytics and reporting activities
• Review and approve MI, analytics, and SAS/SQL outputs
• Enforce quality standards and establish strong delivery discipline
• Resolve complex issues and act as escalation point for challenging topics
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into structured analytical work
• Support prioritization, execution, and continuous improvement of team deliverables
• Coach team members and contribute to long-term capability build-up

Skills

• Strong experience in business-functional analytics, reporting, or regulatory-driven delivery
• Strong hands-on skills in SAS, SQL, Python, BI, and data management
• Proven ability to combine leadership with active delivery ownership
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to work across business and technical stakeholders
• Experience in banking or regulated environments is an advantage

• Experience in regulatory reporting, KYC, customer lifecycle management, or related analytics topics
• Exposure to cloud-based data or analytics environments
• Experience building or stabilizing new teams and delivery setups
