Your stakeholders will truly range the gamut, from collaboration with Supply Chain related functions including Innovation, Sustainability and Global Sourcing and Manufacturing to the teams that support them. You will also work cross-functionally with internal key leaders across Global Innovation & Sourcing Controlling in order to enable and deliver key insights across the entirety of the NIKE, Inc. Supply Chain.

Every day, the Corporate Accounting team strives to bring value to the Finance function through delivering relevant, timely, and accurate financial information so that leadership may understand how NIKE is performing and make strategic business decisions. As the Accounting Lead – Innovation & Sustainability Accounting, you will be responsible for progressing our strategic deliverables, with a significant focus on representing Controlling to support new business strategies and changes to transaction streams impacting NIKE’s end-to-end supply chain.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, finance, or related functions; experience within a large multinational, public company is strongly preferred
  • Strong US GAAP, internal controls over financial reporting, and technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to optimally identify, communicate, and influence technical matters, issues, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Participating in the development and deployment of Innovation & Sourcing Supply Chain objectives and projects that originate from the Innovation and Sustainability teams
  • Proactive partnering with business and finance teammates to provide valuable insights and accounting expertise as the business makes strategic decisions
  • Agile navigation of ambiguous and continuously evolving business landscape, organization, and associated strategies in order to triangulate and evaluate accounting considerations
  • Reviewing arrangements to evaluate and conclude on technical accounting implications and operational feasibility, including product costs, contingencies, variable interest entities, and other technical matters
  • Communicating accounting risks, considerations, and conclusions to a diverse audience, including primarily non-accountants
